This town has a rich and somewhat stormy past, due to its stategic position on a headland overlooking the Somme Bay.

Le Crotoy :
Jules Verne loved it ! Why sh/w_ouldn't you ?. In the seventeenth century, Le Crotoy was one of the most active fishing ports on the English Channel. This activity, although greatly reduced today, gives Le Crotoy a special atmosphere. Here, traditional fishermen's homes and vacation homes are mixed together.
Jules Verne lived here for several years.
